Finally another great device from Canon family. The All new Canon PowerShot SX600 HS !! Looking for a camera to carry while you are travelling ? And don't want to care about the settings ? Here is the Answer. PowerShot SX600 is made for people who prefer long reach, and great image quality, Moreover it is slim and compact.It has a 16MP 1/2.3 inch back-illuminated CMOS sensor, coupled with a digic4+ image processor which already proven its performance. It got an 18x zoom in a small size. Need more ? Don't worry, We have Canon digital zooming function which gives 36x zoom . Still need more ?? . Canon has the answer One can boost it up to 76x . A 461,000 dot fixed display is stunning.

Handling

The SX600HS is very slim when you look into the 18x zoom and perfectly fits in pockets. Around the shutter button there is a zooming ring which is very easy to handle. The good thing about this camera is it can be easily operated by one hand , not only the front grip helps to do so, but also all the buttons in the camera is aligned to right. 

Hybrid Auto mode is available and it will do all for you. No worries about settings. But while changing into program auto mode it will give you more options such as White Balance, Metering mode. etc . Bunt no Shutter Priority or Aperture Priority modes. There is a cool feature in this camera. When you use hybrid auto mode and each time you turn on the camera it will automatically records a video lasts 2 seconds and at the end of the day it will give you a snapshot of the day. I loved this function very much , but It is restricted to only hybrid Auto mode. 

The SX600 HS has built-in Wi-Fi and NFC technology.Set up is easy in both Android and iOS. But you can't upload images directly to social media from the camera.

Performance

Auto focusing is pretty fast in good light conditions, but it is slow when light drops out. But considering this range of products, one can't expect too much. But over all this device is also a great performing one from canon family. Macro focusing function is there , but it is not that much accurate as long as the camera is primarily tuned for taking portraits. There are lot of filters in this camera which is interesting.

Image quality

Image quality is awesome. Images delivers full detail. The interesting filters do great job. But when I shoot pictures in high ISO , images are more noisy. Even high end point shoot cameras has noise at high level, one can't expect too much from this camera.

Should I buy this camera ??

It is a cool performer in this category. But it hasn't unique functions that makes it different. A typical canon digital camera. Nice camera for shooting holiday, wedding , tour. Creative mode is good but one can't manually select the filter which one they need , instead camera takes continuous 5 images. Fully auto mode is great for beginners. Although it has no manual controls its Stunning 18x zoom won't make you sad. A money worth device.

Disadvantages:
No touch screen, Less manual control over creative filter,Poor macro focusing
