Review Product I Review Hand Phone I Nokia Lumia 1020 Review

                                                Nokia Lumia 1020

Overview

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is in my opinion a great bang for you buck phone. It has all the features you would expect from a cellphone with an operation system that has a superb clean and streamlined feel. This phone with the pros and cons in consideration is easily one of the best phones I've owned and I feel like it could potentially rival the Iphone.

Positive

Battery
This phone has plenty of advantages over other phones. The first being its very durable lifespan. I've had this phone for over 4 months and I still only have to charge the thing once every 2 days, every day if I am using it extensively. It is a very nice battery and it definitely beats some other Android phone batteries. A really nice feature is the battery saver feature which detects when the battery is low and automatically disables anything non-essential such as push notifications allowing for the battery life when critical to last much longer
Camera
The camera in the phone, which is the phones main selling point, definitely lives up to its expectations, I mean with a resolution of 42 MP how can you go wrong? The camera has a beautiful focus setting that allows for macro shots and depth of field with any camera enthusiast will love. It also has aperture and frame rate control which is great for any photographer on the go. Its xenon flash is also just as blinding as a real cameras flash and just as effective. Overall it is an amazing camera that easily takes better pictures than some $150 cameras.
Speed
The speed of the camera is something that I wasn't expecting but have come to absolutely love. Some people are very skeptical about switching to a windows operation system, I mean who wouldn't be with all the talk about how the Windows 8 operation system is extremely frustrating. Don't be! The operation system is smooth and fast and even with half my space taken up currently it doesn't slow down like Android and iOs phones tend to do. The readjusting of the tiles are also a major plus adding major customization. Overall this operating system in my opinion is far superior to both the other two mentioned above.

Negative

Awkward Size
The phone however does have some slight downfalls. The phone is thin, but rather large height-wise which makes holding it in one hand quite difficult, I have above average size hands and still find it hard to touch all areas of the screen with holding it with one hand, something that the Iphone, for example, doesn't have a problem with. It also has a huge bulky camera that prevents it from laying down flat It is just a learning curve and eventually you'll get used to it but it can be annoying sometimes.
Slippery body
The phone also comes with a rather slippery body that made me worry that I was going to drop it every time it came out of my pocket. This is not a huge deal because it does come with a lanyard to put on the phone which came in handy but that takes a couple of seconds to put on every time. Both the above negatives can be fixed easily however, There are some very nice cases, I recommend the speck case in particular, for it that both give you traction on the phone and make the camera flush with the case. This removes most of the problems!
App Selection
Although Microsoft is adding more new apps every day the app store is, for lack of a better word, lacking. You can get your major apps like Facebook and Twitter but any specific app from iOS will most likely not be found on the Microsoft app store. I feel like this is an issue that should resolve itself in the next year as the phones gain popularity but its still something to consider when buying it.

Conclusion

Overall this phone is an absolutely amazing phone that I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a new phone and not afraid of branching out. It is very fast and reliable and has a great operating system. This phone has only minor flaws and ones that can be easily overlooked when compared to its strengths.

Advantages:
Battery Life, Screen Resolution, Speed, Overall Feel, Camera quality

Disadvantages:
awkward hold in one hand, slippery, app selection
